Christopher J. Catranis, Chairman & CEO
Chris was the first US civilian businessman on the ground in Iraq, and has spent the last five years developing a network of top-level contacts in the Iraqi government and US Coalition authorities. Chris' activities in Iraq have been detailed in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and he has been featured on the Voice of America Radio network. In addition to the public relations work that he has done, Chris has been able to build a strong relationship with the Iraqi Telephone and Postal Company (ITPC), the only provider of analog and digital telephone service in Iraq.

Mr. Catranis began his career in international trade and finance, founding a domestic international sales corporation, USABROAD, Inc., with warehousing, customs clearing, freight forwarding, wholesaling, barter trade, timbering, satellite telecommunications and civil engineering operations in Europe, Asia and Africa. He went on to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Penn-York Trade and Development Group, Inc, (PYTDG), the successor corporation to USABROAD, Inc. During his tenure at USABROAD and PYTDG Mr. Catranis negotiated, structured and placed more than $150 million in government (ExIm Bank, OPIC and FAS/TEA) and private capital funding. This capital was directed to investments in operating companies (venture) as well as civil engineering, telecommunications and merchant banking. These investments entailed all forms of corporate organization, as well as a broad range of debt and equity capital structures. This resulted in merger and acquisition experience, as well as extensive due diligence experience. Mr. Catranis received his BS in International Trade and Export Marketing from Syracuse University in 1978.

Lucas C. Catranis, President & Secretary
Luke co-founded Babylon Telecommunications with Chris Catranis, and has served as President since its inception. Prior to co-founding Babylon Telecommunications, Mr. Catranis was the Vice President for Subscriber Networks, Inc. developing hosted subscriber management solutions for independent telecommunications systems operators. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Catranis was regional vice president for Skyway Partners, designing and selling BLEC's (building centric local exchange networks) to C level Real Estate executives. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Catranis served as Chief Analyst for Skyway Partners, overseeing the design of broadband delivery systems for Building Centric Local Exchange Networks for MDU's and MTU's. Mr. Catranis holds technical certifications for TCP/IP networking, Microsoft Windows Networking, and broadband network design. Lucas went to Penn State University for his BA in History.

Islam Al Multi, Country Manager, Iraq
Mr. Al-Mufti began his career as a civil engineer for the Iraqi Ministry of Defense in 1985. After completing his term with the Ministry of Defense in 1988, he secured the Iraqi distributorship for computer equipment sales from Computer Systems Company, London, which led to the formation of Al-Daleel Bureau, Mr. Al-Mufti's own networking company. While owning and operating Al-Daleel from 1990 to 1999, Mr. Al-Mufti's staff of 20 Iraqis sold, installed and maintained computer networks for various governmental entities and large private clients in Baghdad. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Al-Mufti served as the Logistics and Procurement Manager for the UNDP Food for Oil Program in Iraq. Mr. Al-Mufti joined Babtel as our Country Manager of Iraq in June 2005. Mr. Al-Mufti earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Amman Polytechnics, Jordan, in 1985.

Peter Catranis, Site Operations Manager
Mr. Catranis has worked for Babtel since 2005 at both the Lebanese Regional Office and at various sites in Iraq. Mr. Catranis has extensive experience at Joint Base Balad, where from 2005 to 2007 he managed Babtel's onsite operations at Kulak Construction Co., Tamimi Construction Co. and oversaw Babtel's construction of the Telos Corp's WLAN for the US Air Force at LSA Anacoda. Mr. Catranis has also installed satellite internet terminals throughout Iraq for IncoNet Data Management and First Kuwaiti Construction Co. Mr. Catranis holds a certification from Telenor Networks in Satellite Terminal Installation.
