Our Joint Base Balad project is an entree to a broader range of Pocket Core Services ('PCS').
Packet core services include both 'voice and data'. They also include the primary data (backbone) connections that GSM networks, MANs and large public and civil entities use to send and receive all voice and data traffic between their network nodes in Iraq and the outside world's telecommunications infrastructure.
In contrast to MANs that provide the last mile subscriber connectivity, the packet core network handles the backbone traffic between networks. It employs the highest-speed transmission paths in the network and also runs the longest distance. It connects to the smaller MANs with each other. The packet core network can span a geographic area of any size. Our packet core network will be capable of connecting any access networks along its path between Kuwait and Baghdad - approximately 600 kilometers. As we gain access to larger transport capacity, we will seek to expand our business in this direction.
